About Me Mrs. Cavera in kindergarten Mrs. Cavera now (left) with Dr. Jean Feldman          My name is Angie Cavera.  This is my eleventh year teaching kindergarten at Van Buren.  I love teaching kindergarten and live for those "aha" moments when children learn something new.  (And they learn MANY new things in kindergarten!)  Each year, I return to kindergarten with enthusiasm and new ideas that I can't wait to try with your children.  I am currently working on my master's degree, which I will complete in August of 2010, so I have more new ideas than ever!        This fall, I am lucky to have a student teacher named Diana Hoffman, who I'm sure you will hear about.  She is very excited to join our classroom, and it will be great having two teachers to give the children extra attention.      As you'll probably hear from your child, I have a husband named Chris, twin daughters named Cate and Rachel, who are in Mrs. Tabler's class this year, twin boys who will be two in October, and a cat named Daisy.  I love butterflies and have them throughout the classroom.  In my spare time, I like to spend time with my husband and kids, read, and go for walks.                                                Daisy                    My little pirates at kindergarten screening                                         Jamie                                                          David Home  1st Day Tips     Kindergarten Information     News  Homework Parent Information    Van Buren Home     Links  Contact Me
